David is in
his fifties and has quite a varied background. He
graduated from high school at St. Mark's in Dallas, Texas, and
completed a B.S. degree in math at the University of
Texas with a minor in architecture. He then served as a
nuclear submarine officer in the |
|
U.S. Navy, including a tour as
Chief Engineer on the U.S.S. George Washington. Next came
graduate school at M.I.T. where he received a Doctorate in
Oceanography specializing in geophysics and heat transfer.
As an oceanographer and geophysicist, he conducted research for
the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the U.S. Geological
Survey and published 75 scientific reports. David's
specialty was volcanoes. In the early 1980's, David
decided he had spent too many years away from home; traveling,
at sea, under the sea, and in foreign lands. Having begun
developing land and building homes in 1977 he now devotes most
of his energy to these activities.
